Representative Matters

Cross-border Commercial Transactions and Supply Chain

• Drafted, reviewed and negotiated a wide range of commercial agreements for multiple globally recognized enterprises, including NNN/NDA agreements, manufacturing agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements and operational agreements.
• Advised the China subsidiaries of various multinational corporations on cross-border commercial transactions and provided legal risk assessment and compliance advice.

Corporate Compliance

• Assisted the China subsidiary of a German company with employment compliance and disputes involving foreign employees, including advising on the impact of work permit deficiencies on the validity and characterization of employment relationships and providing related dispute support.
• Advised an international consumer technology brand on compliance issues relating to product performance claims, comparative advertising statements and promotional rule design, with a view to mitigating risks of false advertising and price fraud.
• Provided compliance advice to an internationally renowned chain brand regarding product names, packaging and advertising slogans.

Intellectual Property Prosecution and Administrative Litigation

• Represented Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. in the invalidation proceeding concerning the “WeChat” trademark, which was selected as one of the “Top Ten Typical Trademark Authorization and Confirmation Cases of 2020” by the Beijing Intellectual Property Judicial Protection Research Association.
• Successfully represented BestBuy before the Supreme People’s Court of China for its house mark BESTBUY. The house mark registration was finally granted with the execution of the final verdict.

Intellectual Property Infringement and Unfair Competition Litigation

• Represented BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Beijing BOE Vacuum Electronics Co., Ltd. in the unfair competition dispute against Wenzhou BOE Vacuum Electronics Co., Ltd., which was selected as one of the “Top Ten Intellectual Property Cases of Ningbo Courts in 2019.”
• Successfully represented Honeywell International regarding trademark infringement and unfair competition case against a local company in Shenyang, and was recommend by Shenyang City Intermediate People's Court, and the case was used as a case study at the Liaoning University Law School. The trademark HONEYWELL was recognized as a well-known trademark by the judicial authorities.

Civil and Commercial Dispute Resolution

• Represented Beijing Capital Co., Ltd in a warranty & indemnification case, and successfully received an award of CNY13 million in damages.
