WIPO Published the RMB Standard for PCT International Phase Fees

Pursuant to the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Payment of Fees under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)" between China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the CNIPA will charge international fees for the PCT applications on behalf of the International Bureau of WIPO in accordance with the RMB standards published by WIPO.

1. The RMB standard comes into effect on July 1st, 2023

Adjustment of standards shall be announced separately in the event of significant exchange rate fluctuations or other reasons.

2. Scope of Application

This standard is applicable to international fees for the PCT applications submitted to and received by the CNIPA on or after July 1st, 2023, as well as formality fees for the requests of PCT international preliminary examination received by CNIPA on or after July 1st, 2023.

In addition to the fees charged by CNIPA for the International Bureau of WIPO, the fee charged by CNIPA, such as search fees, remain unchanged. For details, please refer to the Fees for Patents and Integrated Circuit Layout Design published on the website of CNIPA.
