The year 2023 was a splendid display of the Taiwan team's professional prowess. Beyond their customary trademark prosecution practices, through meticulous evidence gathering and all actions undertaken were in strict accordance with the guidelines set forth by Taiwan Fair Trade Commission, which made the Intellectual Property Police very eager to help move client cases into the legal system which were substantially benefit the client’s cases.

The Taiwan team, with their professional acumen, aided Taiwan's most renowned welding material company (now a subsidiary of a global group) in meticulously amassing evidence. They employed a high degree of sagacity to identify the infringer, culminating in the dispatch of a Cease-and-Desist Letter that successfully deterred the infringer, thereby quickly bringing the brand's sales back to normal.

In another case, Taiwan team successfully keep a clear evidence chain to show the infringing products were sold by the infringer for an international automobile company. They also prepared a Patent Infringement Verification report prior to dispatching a Cease-and-Desist letter, effectively nullifying any baseless claims put forth by the infringer. Taiwan team furnished their clients with an exceptionally comprehensive and thorough analysis. Whether from a litigation standpoint or in terms of settlement, they provided bespoke advice tailored to the clients' needs, enabling them to make judgments that best align with their corporate interests, taking into consideration the litigation strategy requirements of the global market.

Through close collaboration with the Customs, the Taiwan team successfully intercepted a substantial consignment of smuggled counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The investigation is currently ongoing, and the team are confident in their ability to deter the infringers involved in the production of these imitation drugs.

The Taiwan team also achieved success in trademark negotiations. Whether it was leveraging their understanding of the Taiwanese market to enable clients to purchase a pre-existing trademark that impeded their applications at just 30% of the anticipated cost, or by using their local connections to convince the representatives of the conflicting trademarks, they successfully secured two coexistence agreements that could have otherwise led to a deadlock. As the products related to these two trademarks were about to be launched, the Taiwan team, with their professional knowledge, quickly secured the coexistence agreements. This ensured that the clients' products could be released on time.
