On January 22, 2018, the Higher People's Court of Fujian Province issued a judgment on the case of the infringement of the exclusive right to use the trademark of US Company Skechers by Spieth Wensky Sports Products Co., Ltd.. Founding Partner Simon Tsi and Senior attorney at law Ason Zhang represented Skechers. The judgment was that the Skechers won the case and a compensation of 3 million yuan. The case was reported by China Intellectual Property News, China Industry and Commerce News and Beijing Commercial Daily. In the report of China Industry and Commerce News, it quoted Chang Tsi & Partner's evaluation of the case stated that "the result has played a positive role in cracking down on infringement, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of trademark owners and consumers. It is conducive to promote the normative development of intellectual property rights, thereby creating a fair, legal and healthy competitive business environment."
