Chang Tsi & Partners recently co-hosted the seminar “Cross-Border Innovation and Brand Resilience: New Strategies for Trademark Protection in the Digital Era”, jointly organized by the Guangdong Trademark Association and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
The event brought together representatives from leading intellectual property institutions, multinational companies, and legal professionals to explore the evolving challenges and opportunities in cross-border brand protection in the digital economy. The seminar aimed to promote international exchange on trademark protection, strengthen collaboration between global and domestic IP professionals, and share practical strategies for navigating trademark issues in an increasingly borderless market.
The seminar was successfully moderated by Tracy Shen, Partner and Deputy Director of the Management Committee at Chang Tsi & Partners. Elisabeth Stewart Bradley, President of INTA, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of innovation, collaboration, and international cooperation in safeguarding brand value worldwide. Heather Steinmeyer, INTA’s Chief Policy Officer, gave an in-depth presentation on INTA’s ongoing global initiatives in trademark protection and policy development.
Lester Li, Partner and Head of the Domestic Trademark Practice at Chang Tsi & Partners, presented a keynote speech titled “Protecting Your Brand in Southeast Asia: Trademark Registration and Enforcement Strategies”, offering practical insights for Chinese enterprises expanding internationally. The event concluded with a lively panel discussion featuring experts from enterprises and IP service providers, focusing on e-commerce IP strategy, overseas brand development, and future trends in digital trademark enforcement.
