Five leading intellectual property lawyers from Chang Tsi & Partners have been recognized in the 2025 Lexology Index IP Rankings (formerly Who's Who Legal), reaffirming the firm's position as one of China's top IP practices with strong international visibility.
This year's honorees include Founding Partner Spring Chang and Simon Tsi, Partners Michael Fu, Emma Ma and David Lee, spanning key categories including trademarks and copyright.
Among them, Spring Chang received the distinguished recognition of Global Elite Thought Leader – Trademarks, an honor awarded to only about 5% of listed practitioners worldwide. This elite category acknowledges the most influential and highly regarded legal minds in the IP field. Chang, widely recognized as one of China’s most prominent trademark experts, has been consistently praised for her strategic insight, extensive litigation experience, and longstanding contributions to international IP protection.
In addition, Simon Tsi, Michael Fu, Emma Ma, and David Lee were each named Recommended Practitioners in their respective IP categories. The “Recommended” designation highlights individuals considered leaders in their field, selected through Lexology’s rigorous global research process. Fewer than 50% of reviewed practitioners achieve this recognition, underscoring the high level of expertise and industry trust these lawyers have earned.
Lexology Index rankings are highly regarded for their independent methodology, data-driven research, and comprehensive market evaluations. The selection process incorporates feedback from in-house counsel, multinational corporations, legal peers, and subject-matter experts across jurisdictions, making it one of the most trusted and influential benchmarks in the global legal industry.
The strong showing of Chang Tsi & Partners in this year’s rankings reflects the firm’s longstanding commitment to excellence in intellectual property services. Since its establishment in 2002, the firm has built a leading reputation in trademark enforcement, complex dispute resolution, brand protection strategies, anti-counterfeiting, copyright matters, administrative litigation, and cross-border IP advisory work. The firm represents numerous Fortune Global 500 companies, major multinational brands, listed Chinese companies, and high-growth technology innovators.
